'Do Not Call' List, Top Complaint in Florida ... Again

Haven't all telemarketers heard about the "Do Not Call" list by now?

Apparently not, according to the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. Once again, gripes about unwanted phone calls to Floridians on the Do Not Call registry led the top 10 list of complaints in 2009.

And the discontent apparently is growing. More than 6,500 complaints over Do Not Call were filed this year, about 1,500 more than in 2008.

Liz Compton, who has been involved in compiling the list for the agency since it began 11 years ago, said the Do Not Call complaint is a perennial No. 1, with one exception. In 2004, travel complaints took the top spot.
